Game Setup
Last time on DL3 Dragons of Hope: The heroes reunited in the Great Stairwell. They decided to slowly explore the remains of the fortress and began in an altar room. Therein they discovered the remains of a warrior holding both a magical sword and a scroll. The Scroll showed general details about the mountain fortress before its destruction, revealing that a great hall once extended from the north side to the gateway in the north with a series of double doors. It also revealed a central stairwell was the only way to reach the lower levels with the chambers of Fistandantilus marked on the map, directly below the staircase. They can be reached through a huge cubic room that remains undescribed. The magical scroll is not able to be identified as of yet. They continue searching nearby rooms, finding empty priest’ rooms to the east and west, then leave to explore what is revealed to be a vast ballroom, still inhabited by ghosts dancing. It also contained five apparitions, skeletal forms in tattered uniforms–once generals in the army of Fistandantilus. They seemed to attack the mind and body without physically assaulting the heroes leaving Sturm dead before being defeated. As Tika was terrified by them, she rushed through the northern gateway which prompted creatures to attack, killing her. As heroes went to save her, they were also attacked, narrowly escaping the hall. Flint was also terrified and ran into the armory which revealed an adult brass dragon named Blaize. He rushed into the hall to assist the heroes, and that is where we find our heroes now.

This adventure can be played as part of a separate adventure, or as part of the great quest that spans the entire Dragonlance story.
