Game Setup

Last time on DL3 Dragons of Hope: The heroes navigated their way through the crystal maze levels. Tika tried to help Sturm but was attacked by the invisible Stalkers and knocked unconscious. The Iron Hydra was trapped by the Crystal Maze preventing it from consuming the heroes but the Invisible Stalkers were doing an incredible job harrying them. When Raistlin reached the lower level he cast Phantasimal Force and convinced one of the Stalkers that it was Fistandantilus and to allow the heroes to pass unmolested, but the others were not fooled. Flint and Riverwind ended up dropping down to bandage Sturm and Tika and fight the invisible Stalkers. Eventually even Tas was taken down by them, and the others dragged corpses leaving Flint to face the final Stalker alone. Raistlin descended to the final level and opened a seemingly empty room with scorch marks all around. They brought the unconscious bodies in with Tanis and Gilthanas. What will become of Flint, Goldmoon, and Riverwind as they face an invisible foe?

About DL3 Dragons of Hope

The Dragonlance saga continues!

You have freed 800 refugees from the depths of Pax Tharkas, but now the armies of the dragon highmaster Verminaard pursue you through the wilderness. There is only one hope for you: Find the gates to Thorbardin, the ancient kingdom of the mountain dwarves, sealed long ago in the Dwarfgate War. The problem is that nobody knows where it is, or if it still exists!

Through the snow-covered Kharolis Mountains, across the Dergoth Plain, haunted by the ghosts of ancient armies, and to the incredible mountain known as Skullcap, you search for the answer that will save the refugees of Pax Tharkas—and yourself!

“Dragons of Hope” is the exciting third part of the First Book of Dragonlance, an epic quest through the world of Krynn, threatened by the domination of the inhuman draconians. This adventure can be played as part of a separate adventure, or as part of the great quest that spans the entire Dragonlance story.

An adventure for characters level 6th-8th. Written by Tracy Hickman.

About Advanced Dungeons & Dragons

An updated version of D&D was released between 1977 and 1979 as Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D). The game rules were reorganized and re-codified across three hardcover rulebooks, compiled by Gary Gygax, incorporating the original D&D rules and many additions and revisions from supplements and magazine articles. The three core rulebooks are the Monster Manual (1977), the Player’s Handbook (1978), and the Dungeon Master’s Guide (1979).
