Game Setup
Last time on DL3 Dragons of Hope: The heroes lead the refugees to the Hopeful Vale where resources are plentiful and Fizban decides to stay and watch over them. The heroes leave in the morning to find Skullcap, knowing the Dragonarmy is slowly but unceasingly claiming territory. Verminaard and Ember find them in the evening and once again harry them by burning Raistlin and Gilthanas. He then flies off with mocking laughter. They leave the Kharolis mountains and enter the Dergoth plains where they witness the spectral minions of dwarves fight each other in the mists. They finally arrive at Skullcap and Tasslehoff climbs the face to see what other entrances there are. The eyes lead to tunnels as does a massive area up top with a little water. Sturm joins Tas on the eye tunnel which leads to a metal framework that once connected to the lower staircase below, but is now destroyed. They descend to the bottom of the room to find a massive metal staircase descending into darkness in a large hall with many doors. They come across some Aghar who found themselves trapped. The heroes outside decide after not hearing from them to enter the mouth tunnel and explore the cavern. A group of kender come around and bother them before going to explore the eye tunnels at the heroes request.

“Dragons of Hope” is the exciting third part of the First Book of Dragonlance, an epic quest through the world of Krynn, threatened by the domination of the inhuman draconians. This adventure can be played as part of a separate adventure, or as part of the great quest that spans the entire Dragonlance story.
