Game Setup
Last time on Shadow of the Dragon Queen: The heroes tracked Gragonis’ meeting place which revealed a large military force to the northwest of Vogler. Upon returning to report the finding to Mayor Raven, the force was confirmed by Cudgel Ironsmile returning from her Ironclad Regiment’s encampment. As they were planning their next move, a messenger from the Dragon Army presented an order from Belephaion, the Voice of Takhisis, demanding that the village quarter the soldiers that night. The heroes distracted the messenger so Cudgel could collect her remaining loyal troops, and built rafts and flotillas to evacuate the people of Vogler rather than allowing the Dragon Army to occupy town. The dragon army ended up marching on Vogler with Backlin and Cudgel leading her forces against them, and the heroes evacuated as many of the villagers as possible. They all ended up drifting down the Vingaard river toward Kalaman, watching the village burn.
