Game Setup
It is the year three-hundred and fifty-one Alt Cataclius. For the past three centuries Solamnia has been in a state of famine, plagues, and commoner uprisings against the Knights of Solamnia in their forts and castles. Many Knights and their families have been murdered by the people they once protected as rumors that the Knighthood could have stopped the Cataclysm or that they had supported it for their own gain have spread. Other knights sent their families away for protection and many fled Solamnia altogether, conceding defeat and living in subterfuge. Regionally, some Knights have continued in their effort in protecting their people and lands. Lord Graden Viranesh is one such Knight. He provides quarters for those knights traveling through the Hinterlund region and answers any call from Lord Fullgrate, the city magistrate of Maelgoth.
This is where we pick up our adventure. As those of you who watched our liveplay of the Prelude Scales of War, you witnessed our heroes coming across a young man named Rhys calling for help. What the heroes discovered were creatures never seen on Krynn in the aftermath of a vicious battle where three Solamnic Knights fell under their might. Upon further investigation they discovered correspondence that states the knights were investigating reports of nearby farmsteads being raided by strange creatures that match the draconians’ descriptions. But who were these Knights? How did they come to meet up with Rhys and fall to these vicious beasts? Those questions will be answered tonight.
We begin in the dining hall of Viranesh Keep, where Lord Graden Viranesh is hosting three Knights named Charles being played by Colin, Scab being played by Tristan, and Eric being played by Gabriel. Gentlemen, please introduce your characters.
