Game Setup

Last time on Shadow of the Dragon Queen: The last session saw the passing of two wonderful characters in Torgan and Orsis. They were met by the avatar of Reorx, Dougan Redhammer, and taken to the Gate of Souls. As the heroes fled Camp Carrionclay, they were mysteriously unfollowed. They arrived at a gift from the divine, an oasis where they could safely take refuge and recuperate after the horror they experienced, saying goodbye to their fallen companions. As they arrived back to Darrett Highwater’s camp, they discovered that they unknowingly delivered an assassin of the Dragonarmy in the guise of Becklin Uth Viharin, explaining why they weren’t chased from Carrionclay. As Darrett was nearly killed, the heroes summarily dealt with the assassin, and at the behest of Cudgel Ironsmile, they continued on their mission.

They escorted Dalamar to Dread Wolf Cove, and learned its guardian was an aberration which they were able to defeat with the aid of their new companions Algard and Kelmaris. Dalamar found what he was looking for and left their company, as the heroes turned to The City of Lost Names.

En route they discovered three wild dragonnnels and began following them in the hopes of training them to be ridden, and came across a scavenger named Clystran. They rescued him from giant spiders and he offered to take them to Heart’s Hollow, then a feeding ground for Dragonell’s he tended to, but the heroes decided to turn north instead and continue to the city. They learned that the Dragonarmy blocked their passage to the city, and caught and interrogated a dragon army officer learning that their only hope of entering was to have Darret’s army distract the Dragonarmy and they would sneak in through Wind’s End, where the Dragonarmy keeps their dragonell’s pens.
