Game Setup
Last time on Tyranny of Dragons: The heroes reentered the seemingly quiet cavern. As they made their way back to Frulam Mondath’s room, they discovered her personal effects in addition to paperwork on her table featuring notes and maps of Solanthus showing the villages the cult attacked and looted. An arrow is sketched in from Southlund toward the west and the town of Caergoth on the Trade Way, where the arrow turns north. A separate sheet of paper covered with numerals in columns contains the note, “Everything must be freighted north to Citadel of Karoc-Tor. Rezmir allowed us to keep some pearls, a ring, and a handful of small stones.” They traveled into the Dragon Shrine featuring relief images of Takhiss, the Queen of Darkness rising out of the Lords of Doom surrounding the city of Sanction. This is where Draconians were first created by corrupting metallic dragon eggs through a vile ritual. The Dragon Shrine is also where they found Frulam Mondath and two berserkers as the last line of defense for the eggs. The heroes narrowly defeated them before leaving to try to rest for eight hours in Mondath’s room. They were discovered after first watching and smoked out, only to turn the tables and defeat the kobolds responsible. Now that the heroes know where the cult is going, and what they discovered in the chest, will they return the possessions to Firstward before they travel to Solanthus to meet Ontharr Frume and Leosin Erlanthar? Will they destroy the dragon eggs they believe they discovered? What is going on at the Citadel of Karoc-Tor? And can they ever make it out of the cave alive?
