Game Setup
Last time on Tyranny of Dragons: The heroes were all traveling to Firstward in southern Southlund near the coast of the New Sea. Since the death of Takhisis, the Queen of Darkness, there have been factions rumored to be trying to rise up and take her place. Most prominent of these cults is the Cult of the Dragon. This cult has affected every one of the heroes’ lives in some way and they are all drawn to Firstward to learn more about it. As they approached, they witnessed in the rapidly approaching evening that the town was under siege by a dragon! They gathered information from the livestock about the attack and entered the town to speak with some of the residents, only to stumble across a family being attacked by Kobolds. They saved the family who asked them to take them to the keep at the center of town. Lina and Cuth Swift with their three daughters follow the heroes into town, as they are attacked constantly by raiders. It seems the town isn’t meant to be destroyed, but rather it is being searched, with a blue dragon causing havoc distracting potential defenders. The raiders are both Kobolds and cultists. What are the cultists searching this town for? Can the heroes get this family to safety before being overrun themselves?
